Extension to opening hours over the summer

By popular demand, the Library will remain open until 22.30 on weekdays from 29th July to 13th September.

The Issue and Help Desks will close at 20.00 but you will be able to borrow and return items via the self service machines.

We will be monitoring usage of the Library during these extended hours and, if it is popular, we hope to be able to repeat this throughout future summer vacations.

Improvement works going on over the summer

We're improving things over the summer.

Unfortunately, that means there will be some work going on in the Library. From Monday 22nd July, contractors will be carrying out electrical work on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors of the library to install power points at all study desks. This will involve loud drilling and will last until the end of August.

The good news is that you will be able to plug your laptop in at those desks once the work is complete.

We are also sprucing up our appearance - new carpet will be laid on Level 1 during the same period.

We apologise for any disruption this will cause

Possible noise from filming nearby

There will be filming taking place from 9pm nearby, in Malet Place, tonight and over the next two evenings involving vampires, fires & explosions! You may hear some noise from 9pm tonight. From tomorrow we will be closing at 8pm so the noise won't disturb us.
