New Year, new term, new library workshops

Make 2013 the year when you improve your information literacy skills and make more use of the Library's resources. Our new Saturday workshop programme for this term is now out. We are running the following workshops:

Introduction to the Web of Knowledge Sat 09 Feb 11.30am-1pm
An introduction to searching the Science, Social Sciences and Arts & Humanities Citation Indexes with time for some hands-on practice.

Getting the most from JSTOR and Periodicals Archive Online Sat 16 Feb 11.30am-1pm
Find out how to use two of our most popular multi-disciplinary ejournal packages to find articles for your essays and assignments.

Using the PsycInfo, PsycArticles and PEPWeb databases Sat 23 Feb 11.30am-1pm
An introduction to searching for articles on psychology topics using the Library's databases.

Introduction to the Literature Online (LION) and MLA databases Sat 02 Mar 11.30am-1pm
An introduction to two of the most useful online resources for the study of literature, poetry, drama, language and linguistics - LION and MLA.

Introduction to EndNote Web (reference management software) Sat 09 Mar 11.30am-1pm
EndNote Web helps you store, manage and cite your references correctly.

Keep up to date using current awareness services Sat 16 Mar 11.30am-1pm
Keep up to date with the latest journal articles in your field by using current awareness services such as ZETOC.
