Finding and accessing PhD theses

There are still places available on this Saturday's workshop on finding and accessing theses.

Useful for PhD students or anyone planning to do a PhD, this session will cover how to identify and obtain copies of PhD theses using the Library catalogue, the Index to Theses database and the Ethos service.

Improve Your Search Skills - workshop May 19th

Our first Saturday workshop this term will give you the chance to improve your database and internet search skills and help you make the most of the online resources that the Library provides.

This session will cover the general principles of preparing a search strategy and carrying out a literature search, together with useful hints and tips on how to get the best out of online databases.

There will be time for questions and hands-on practice, so come along and start gettting better results from your searching.
