Looking forward to the summer

As the end of the exam period comes into view it seems a good time to look forward to our summer vacation opening hours and to mention a few things about borrowing books over the next few months.

Opening Hours
Early opening and 24 hour opening end on Friday 13th June when we revert to our normal term-time hours. From Monday 21st June our Summer Vacation hours start. These are:
Mon-Fri 10.00 - 20.00
Sat 12.00 - 17.00
Sun Closed

Please note that the library will be closed on Friday July 11th and Monday August 25th. As usual you can keep fully up to date with our opening hours via the Library web site.

Borrowing over the summer
Don't forget to bring all your books back after you have finished your exams or dissertations. If you are returning next year you can borrow over the summer, but please remember that other readers may place requests on items so don't go off on holiday with books that you won't be able to return if they are wanted. If you have access to the Internet you can keep your account up to date by renewing online and checking your email regularly to see if we have written to you. However, fines will still be charged throughout the vacation and not being able to return your books because you were sailing in the Pacific or trekking in the Himalayas won't be accepted as a valid excuse!
